BEIJING - Beijing is also known as a tourist city for its many places of interest, including ancient architecture, royal gardens, mansions, towers, temples, palaces, and modern structures. It is a gathering place of artists and other talented people. GUILIN - Guilin is an ancient city on the shore of the mesmerizing Lijiang River in northeastern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The serene mountains, sparkling waters, and exotic rocks typical of karst landmasses in the Lijiang River basin have inspired the saying, 'The landscape of Guilin is unmatched under Heaven.' SHANGHAI - is an ideal 'shopping paradise.' Nanjing Road, known as 'China's No.1 Street', the reconstructed Huaihai Road, Jinling Road, East and North Sichuan Road, the Yuyuan Garden shopping and tourist area. XIAN - More than two hundred and seventy palaces and temples were built during its heyday, such as the 'Three Han Palaces' in the Han dynasty, namely Changle, Weiyang, Jianzhang Palaces, and numerous other palaces and watch towers. The most well known among these is the Tomb of Emperor Qin Shihuang, with the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses. Xi'an is also the starting point of the ancient Silk Road.
Upon arrival at Beijing airport, you will be met by your guide who will escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore Beijing at your leisure.
Day 2 - BEIJING
Today you will first visit the historic Tiananmen Square, then tour the magnificent Imperial Palace and its gardens, also known as the Forbidden City.
Tiananmen Square which was built on the orders of Mao Zedong and is said to have the capacity to hold over 1 million people. The square has often been used as a forum for popular dissent. From Tiananmen Square we continue on foot passing through the beautiful Gate of Heavenly Peace and under the portrait of Chairman Mao to enter the splendid Forbidden City. This ancient city was the sacred heart of the empire for over 500 years and home to the Ming and Qing dynasty imperial courts.
Day 3 - BEIJING
Today’s excursion first takes you down the stone statue-lined Sacred Way to the Ming Tombs, After lunch, you will walk along one of the world’s most remarkable architectural wonders, the Great Wall of China.
The Great wall (90 kilometres north-east of Beijing) to visit China’s most famous attraction – the Great Wall of China. Built over 2000 years ago and visible from the moon, the Great Wall of China stretches 5000 kilo metres from the Shanhaiguan Pass on the east coast to the Gobi Desert in the west. Walk along the wall admiring the panoramic views and reflect on the enormity of the material and labour required for its construction. It is estimated that 1 million people were used at different stages during the construction periods and that thousands died building it. Ironically the wall never achieved its aim – to prevent invaders from the north. It should be take 1.5 hours from hotel to the Great Wall, we take a break to experience a traditional Chinese Cloisonne Factory before making a stop at the middle way.
Day 4 - BEIJING - XIAN
This morning you will marvel at Beijing’s splendid Temple of Heaven. After lunch, you will depart for the ancient city of Xian, capital of Shanxi Province.
Visit the Temple of Heaven, which was used for the worship of the heavens for good harvests. The sacred and architecturally unique Temple of Heaven, also known as Tiantan, is the perfection of Ming architecture and has come to symbolise Beijing. The structure stands at 38 metres in height and 30 metres in diameter, completely balanced by wooden pillars. Nails and concrete are not used to hold it together. The temple is located within a park and in the early mornings the area is alive with tai chi enthusiasts, elderly men practicing Chinese calligraphy, dancers and performers reciting Beijing opera.
Day 5 - XIAN
Today, you will enjoy a half-day excursion to some of Xian’s ancient monuments Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses.
Terracotta Warriors - one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. Still under excavation these thousands of life sized terracotta warriors and horses were only unearthed after 1974 after being buried for 2000 years. Each figure is completely unique both in facial features and expression. The terracotta army was designed to defend Emperor Qin Shi Huang’s tomb and ensure that he would have a standing army to protect him in the afterlife. Many archaeologists believe that the warriors discovered so far might only be part of an even larger terracotta army still buried in vaults around the Emperor’s tomb.
Day 6 - XIAN - SHANGHAI
Today, after lunch, you will depart for Shanghai, is also an ideal "shopping paradise", as well as a famous historical and cultural city. After hotel check-in, you will tour Xin Tian Di, a newly developed recreation area with the old style buildings.
Modern Shanghai has three key areas of interest to the visitor. These comprise Sightseeing, Business and Shopping centered upon People's Square and along the Huangpu River. The city's Cultural Center with its public activities and community facilities and finally the main Entertainment and Holiday Tourism area is located at Mt. Sheshan, Chongming Island, Dingshan Lake and Shenshuigang Area.
Known as "the Oriental Paris", Shanghai is a shopper's paradise. One of the musts for tourists is Nanjing Road. Huaihai Road intrigues those with modern and fashionable tastes, while Sichuan North Road meets the demands of ordinary folk. In addition, Xujiahui Shopping Center, Yuyuan Shopping City, Jiali Sleepless City are thriving and popular destinations for those who are seeking to buy something special as a memento of their visit.
Day 7 - SHANGHAI
Join us this morning for a visit to the Jade Buddha Temple, Yu Garden, the Bund, Then you will visit the famous Shanghai Museum.
visit the ShanghaiMuseum. Housed in a unique architectural building resembling a traditional Chinese vessel, this museum contains an impressive collection of ancient bronze works, ceramics, calligraphy, paintings, coins, Qing and Ming furniture, jade, ethnic minority costume and masks.
We head to the old Chinese Qyarter where we take a relaxing walk through the peaceful Yu Garden. Pick up some soveniers or sample of the famous local dumplings in the bustling market. Visit the historical river front area known as the Bund - Shanghai's formaer "Wall Street" . Home to an impressive collection of 1920's neo classical buildngs which testify to Shanghai's former greatness, this area contrasts.
Day 8 - Depart You are free today until the departure transfer to the airport for your flight home.
Once services are finally confirmed and paid, further changes can be done once before 14 days prior to arrival without any penalty.
The Tour Agency will have to pay the difference of amount between the actual cost of services and initially raised invoice 7 days prior to arrival.
Tour Operator is obliged to provide the clients all services prior reserved and can provide changes and additional services not booked by Tour Agency prior to the tour on tourists' request if available.
Tour Operator shall notify Tour Agency on the changes and shall collect payment from the tourists directly. In case of cancellation, a written notice must be received by the Tour Operator at least 30 days prior to the tourist’s arrival. The date on receiving the request for cancellation will be considered as date of cancellation of the booking.
Cancellation charges for air tickets will be based on the airline policy.
Reconfirmation of the tickets for the tourist will be done only at additional payment, and will be collected directly from the tourist.
Cancellation charges for FIT bookings for hotels only for High Season:
30 to 21 working days prior to arrival - no charge.
Less than 21 days prior to arrival – the penalty in amount of one room/night or according to the contract between the Tour operator and a hotel.
Less than 14 days prior to arrival – the penalty in amount of three room/nights or according to the contract between the Tour operator and a hotel, and 100% for any other services apart from accommodation.
7 days prior to arrival and No-Show – the penalty in amount of 100%.
Cancellation charges for FIT bookings for hotels only for Peak Season:
60 to 45 working days prior to arrival - no charge.
Less than 45 days prior to arrival and No-Show –the penalty in amount of 100%.
Cancellation charges for FIT bookings for hotel only for Low Season:
21 to 15 working days prior to arrival - no charge.
14 - 7 days prior to arrival – the penalty in amount of one room/night or according to the contract between the Tour operator and a hotel, and 100% for any other services apart from accommodation
Less than 7 days and no show prior to arrival – the penalty in amount of 100%.
