Enchanting waterfalls, bamboo rafting through the pristine Periyar sanctuary, Chinese nets in Cochin and serene backwaters of Kumarakom. Day 1 - Cochin Airport - Athirapally Arrive at Cochin. Transfer to hotel by the side of the most beautiful waterfalls of Kerala. Day at leisure
Day 2 - Athirapally-Cochin Breakfast and proceed to Cochin - the commercial capital and the most cosmopolitan city of Kerala.On arrival check in to a hotel. Afternoon free to go around the city for shopping. Evening Kathakali dance show. Overnight at Cochin.
Day 3 - Cochin Your morning sightseeing tour of Kochi includes a visit to the DutchPalace and Synagogue. En route see the famous Chinese fishing nets. Overnight at Cochin.
Day 4 - Cochin-Thekkady After breakfast drive to Periyar. The scenic drive takes you through green hills with forests, plantations of tea, spices and rubber, streams and waterfalls. On the way visit some of the spice plantations. Check in to hotel.
Day 5 - Thekkady This is a dawn to dusk range hiking and rafting program through some of the richest forest tracts of Periyar Tiger Reserve. Starting at 8 am from the boat landing, a mosaic of habitats will be traversed before the party gets into rafts made of bamboos. The forests are rich in bird life and arboreal animals like giant squirrel and Nilgiri langur. The rafting is for about three hours and one gets a panoramic view of forest-clad hills reflected on the lake. Animals like elephant, gaur and sambar are sighted keeping close to the edges of the lake. The team hitchhikes back to the boat landing by about 5 pm. An armed guard and 4 guides will accompany tourists. Tea, snacks and packed lunch will be served enroute.
Day 6 - Thekkady – Alleppey The Kerala backwaters consist of a complex network of lagoons, lakes, & canals and are best experienced while slowly punting down the labyrinth of canals in a traditional thatch-roofed houseboat, known as 'Kettuvallam'. Embark your houseboat. See life on the banks, lush green rice fields, and coconut groves with occasional temple or church as you cruise through the canals. An experience you will savor for a long time.
Day 7 - Depart Transfer to the airport of Cochin or to a hotel on the beach.
Once services are finally confirmed and paid, further changes can be done once before 14 days prior to arrival without any penalty.
The Tour Agency will have to pay the difference of amount between the actual cost of services and initially raised invoice 7 days prior to arrival.
Tour Operator is obliged to provide the clients all services prior reserved and can provide changes and additional services not booked by Tour Agency prior to the tour on tourists' request if available.
Tour Operator shall notify Tour Agency on the changes and shall collect payment from the tourists directly.
In case of cancellation, a written notice must be received by the Tour Operator at least 30 days prior to the tourist’s arrival. The date on receiving the request for cancellation will be considered as date of cancellation of the booking.
Cancellation charges for air tickets will be based on the airline policy.
Reconfirmation of the tickets for the tourist will be done only at additional payment, and will be collected directly from the tourist.
Cancellation charges for FIT bookings for hotels only for High Season:
30 to 21 working days prior to arrival - no charge.
Less than 21 days prior to arrival – the penalty in amount of one room/night or according to the contract between the Tour operator and a hotel.
Less than 14 days prior to arrival – the penalty in amount of three room/nights or according to the contract between the Tour operator and a hotel, and 100% for any other services apart from accommodation.
7 days prior to arrival and No-Show – the penalty in amount of 100%.
Cancellation charges for FIT bookings for hotels only for Peak Season:
60 to 45 working days prior to arrival - no charge.
Less than 45 days prior to arrival and No-Show –the penalty in amount of 100%.
Cancellation charges for FIT bookings for hotel only for Low Season:
21 to 15 working days prior to arrival - no charge.
14 - 7 days prior to arrival – the penalty in amount of one room/night or according to the contract between the Tour operator and a hotel, and 100% for any other services apart from accommodation.
Less than 7 days and no show prior to arrival – the penalty in amount of 100%.
